Priscilla’s Long-Overdue Recognition

The talk of the town is Priscilla Presley. The new movie Priscilla, which is based on her life story, just came out into theaters, and Priscilla finally got her long overdue credit for being a fashion and style icon. Comparable to Sofia Richie’s style, Priscilla’s style can be classified as old money. She is elegant, classy, and fierce. Priscilla’s outfits from many years ago are pretty close to what is trendy today. She exhibited a minimalist, old-money aesthetic and even rocked the bow trend.

Priscilla is finally coming into the light and her style is coming with it. Many people are recreating Priscilla's outfits, while giving them a present-day twist. One thing that’s noticeably different with current trends and Priscilla’s look is her hair. The extremely puffy, permed hair was a Priscilla signature while the trend today is either straight or soft waves. Also, her dark, bold iron makeup was a statement and so iconic. Not everybody can pull off a bold, thick wing like Priscilla did.

Priscilla always hit the mark with her accessories. She has been photographed numerous times wearing headbands and different hair pieces. This was a great way to spice up her looks and give it her own unique flare. Priscilla was rarely photographed without a tiny purse. These were almost always glued to her arm. Who knew the simplest accessory could contribute to the iconicness of an outfit so many years later.

As mentioned above, Priscilla is fierce. She has a cool-girl side that isn’t afraid to come out every so often. What adds to her cool-girl vibe is her sunglasses. As she is blocking out the world with the shades, she’s created an iconic, timeless vibe that’s looked back upon with such high respect.

This is a must-watch movie to learn the depths of Priscilla Presley's life, style, and relationships. The it-girl of the season is receiving the hype she deserves for her style.
