Katie Kujawiak; Tiffany & Co.

Welcome to our VIMspiration Weekly Blogs!

We will be sharing helpful career tips, Q&As with industry professionals and career advice from past MSU and VIM Alumni!

This week we will be hearing from Katie Kujawiak. She is currently an Operations Coordinator at Tiffany & Co. Katie is an MSU alumnus and has great advice to share! Head to Katie’s LinkedIn to learn more.

Q: What are your job responsibilities/what’s your favorite part of what you do?

A: I handle all the back of house operations for our location. Merchandise receiving, inventory, returns, and all customer service including repairs. We really do everything in the store except sell.

Q: What advice would you give to your college self?

A: Trust yourself, love yourself, and work harder! I was NOT a good student lol. I never did any internships and I feel that was a huge missed opportunity for me.

Q: What is your favorite part about working for Tiffany & Co.?

A: I would say the work/life balance. I never have to take work home with me. That, and all the beautiful jewelry of course!

Q: What are you most passionate about?

A: Right now I’m most passionate about the off road industry. I built a large social media following based on my Jeep and absolutely love the lifestyle of going off road. I’ve actually turned it into a marketing job and am moonlighting in automotive marketing. My passions have changed dramatically since college so I’m trying to transition into a different career slowly.

Q: Do you have any advice for someone interested in this field/job?

A: Work VERY hard. Retail is extremely volatile now and not what it was in 2003. Continually learn new skills and network as much as possible. And always follow your heart and passions. It’s the only way to be truly successful and enjoy what you do.
