Instagram-able Food Spots Around Lansing

If you’re anything like us, you love a good food-stagram. Unfortunately, unlike New York, Los Angeles or any of the other big city hot spots, Lansing isn’t really known for its popular picture destinations. Sure, you can post a snap of your Tropical Smoothie drink, but where is the aesthetic pleasure in a foam cup filled with Jetty Punch? For the sake of your story, we tracked down five of the most ‘gram-worthy spots in Lansing.

Unicha Tea and Ice Cream

If you own a device that can connect to the Internet, you’ve seen those oddly satisfying rolled ice cream videos. Great news, you don’t have to take a study abroad trip to join in on the fun! Located on Division Street, Unicha hand makes your dessert in front of your very eyes, with your choice of add-ons and toppings. No matter what you chose, not only is it tasty, but it’s also pretty to look at.

Glazed and Confused

Clever Name? Check. Delicious donuts? Double check. We may not have Portland’s Voodoo Doughnuts, but the pastries found at this cozy cute shop on West Lake Lansing Road are just as ‘gram-able. With flavors ranging from “fruity pebbles” to “gummi bear,” not only will you find a flavor you’d like to eat, but one to post as well.

Juice Nation

If you’re more of a minimalist, this pressed juice bar on Grand River Avenue is the perfect spot to satisfy your aesthetic cravings. With an assortment of fun colored, not to mention yummy drinks, not only can you snap in style, but enjoy a health boost at the same time. We recommend the blueberry lemonade.

Blue Owl Coffee Company

Fuel your inner hipster with a trip to Blue Owl. With rustic copper pipes in the menu display and gears in the bar top, this coffee construction agency has more than enough views to behold. Make sure to mention in your caption that you are indeed drinking an ORANGE mocha, and not just some regular PSL from Starbs.

Fleetwood Diner

Serving major Riverdale vibes, this Lansing diner is a ‘50s dream come true. Checkerboard tiles and chrome galore is the perfect backdrop for a throwback shoot, milkshake included. If you’re one of those “born in the wrong decade” types, you’ll most certainly breathe a sigh of relief upon entry.

Of course, there are so many more sights to see and post on your timeline, but we hope you give these a shot and switch up your regular routine. After all, there are more places to Instagram and enjoy than just the green and white wall outside Big Ten.
